About achilles heel
achilles heel opened in 2000 and was based in Decourcys Arcade in the West End of Glasgow. We gradually expanded and eventually had to move to the larger premises where we are now located on Great Western Road.
The name achilles heel came about after the owner, Katie Alexander ruptured her achilles during a marathon. The name of the shop is a permanent reminder along with the huge scar to go with it.
