Ordering information

When ordering from Achilles Heel you can be assured that everything is secure and reliable. When you enter your contact, delivery and card details the page is safely encrypted which means that when your data is sent to our secure payment providers Sage Pay, it is impossible for anyone to intercept and use your details.

Stock levels

Generally all listed products are in stock. If you order an item which has recently sold out we will email you straight away to let you know. In most cases though we can re-order goods very quickly.

All in-stock orders are shipped within 24 hours (orders received after noon on Friday and through the weekend will be shipped on Monday). If there will be a delay with your order, we will email to let you know.

Delivery

The time it takes to deliver your order depends on your delivery location. Please check our delivery information page for more details. If there will be a delay with your order, we will email you to let you know.

Collecting your order direct from Achilles Heel

You can also collect your order in person directly from our shop in Glasgow. Choose the appropriate option from the basket page when ordering. Please note that when you choose to collect your order in person, there is a handling charge in lieu of delivery. This handling charge is added to your basket and appears in the delivery field. Orders will be ready to collect from the shop within 24 hours of ordering (excluding weekends). Please bring along the following items:

  • Your order confirmation
  • Proof of identification (e.g. driving licence, student card)

We use Sage Pay

We use Sage Pay (formerly Protx) to securely process payments on our website. When paying for your goods online, credit / debit card information is sent encrypted by secure server.

Here's how the Sage Pay system works:

Four quick steps for secure payments

  1. You visit the Achilles Heel site and add products to your basket
  2. You enter your contact, delivery and card details
  3. Sage Pay checks with your bank to make sure everything is okay (including some security checks for Visa and Mastercard - see below)
  4. Sage Pay lets us know if everything is okay and we conclude the transaction as appropriate

The response from your bank

Sagepay contacts your bank to make sure the details you provided are accurate and you have the appropriate funds in your account to cover the cost of the order. The bank will respond and if no problems were found we conclude your order and send out a confirmation email. If any problems occur, we will inform you and give you options on how to complete your order.

Additional security checks

Depending on your credit or debit card type, the bank may make additional security checks. If you fail to complete these security checks your order may not complete successfully.

Visa and Mastercard details will be scrutinised by Verified by Visa and MasterCard Secure Code checks. You will need to create a new password during the process for these checks if you have not already done so.

If everything is okay with your transaction we will issue you with a confirmation email (you will also receive an email from Sage Pay). This will contain your order number, the content of your order and details about how to track the progress of your order if necessary.
