Update! The market rival for Nike+ has landed...and gently, onto a cushion of fulfilled expectation and praise it would seem. It is more expensive than Nike+ but apparently it "does more stuff," like integrating into any mp3 player and providing you with more data than the Starship Enterprise. Well, not quite. The gauntlet is well and truly thrown however and it will be interesting to see how it performs over the next few months. Is it living up to the hype? You tell us.

Nike Grind →
Did you know that Nike recycle old running shoes? And what's more, they transform the shoes into running tracks!
Nike Grind is the name given to the range of materials Nike produce when recycling their old running shoes. They separate the three parts of each shoe (the fabric upper, the foam in the midsole and the rubber from the outsoles) and turn these into materials suitable for creating gym floor tiles, basketball and tennis courts and running tracks.
Here's a video that explains a bit more about the materials and the processes involved.

Found this funny compilation featuring Berlin's comical mascot Berlino while browsing the Puma Running blog. Thought this would bring a few smiles and get everyone in the mood for the coming track season.
